The surroundings of Franeker are beautiful and offer amny possibilities to enjoy your day out.
We cannot mention everything but we give you below some tips.
Bicycle routes:
Our B & B is located on the bicycle network Fryslan "Noordwest", junction 03. This will give you a lot of possibilities. A map is available. As well there are some alternative small bicycle routes, maps are also available.
By foot:: a special Citywalk in Franeker or the "Elfstedentocht" (Elevencitieswalk) etc.
The "Jabikspaad", which is a part of the Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, runs for walkers through Franeker and for cyclists through Lutje Lollum. where we are located.
Visit the islands Terschelling, Vlieland or Ameland. The ferry at Harlingen and Holwerd is fast and easily located from us.
